**Tokyo Skytree Station** (とうきょうスカイツリー駅 Tōkyō Sukaitsurī-eki) is a railway station on the Tobu Skytree Line in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Tobu Railway. It is adjacent to the Tokyo Skytree and Skytree Town redevelopment, and was formerly known as Narihirabashi Station. A busy intersection in central Akasaka, Tokyo. We ventured out of our 22nd-floor hotel room to the humid Tokyo night on the first night of our 10-day trip to Japan to find the insane play of lights and colors. To risk sounding otacky (i.e., like an otaku), this sight reminds me of some shots in Ghost in the Shell (攻殻機動隊).

**Japanese Portrait - Pre-WWII Japan por Vintage Japan-esque**

Vintage portrait of a Japanese woman. The embossed text says “K. Esaki Tokyo”. This photo is from a found Japanese family album that I am scanning. I believe the photos to be from before WWII (possibly Taisho Era 1912-1926 according to one kimono expert who has commented on photos from this album).
